Specialist Care at Every Stage

ADHD Assessments
Comprehensive ADHD assessments for adults, children and young people, helping patients and families gain greater clarity and understand the support available to them.

Autism Assessments
Thorough autism assessments delivered by experienced clinicians, with clear feedback, detailed reports and guidance following assessment.

Psychiatric Consultations
Specialist psychiatric consultations for people who need professional assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations or ongoing mental health support.

Ongoing Treatment & Support
Our care does not necessarily end with diagnosis. Where appropriate, we can provide treatment planning, medication support and ongoing clinical care.
Who Are Dr J & Colleagues?
Dr J & Colleagues brings together psychiatrists, psychologists, specialist practitioners, therapists and experienced support professionals who share a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate mental health care.
We understand that seeking an assessment or psychiatric support can feel like a significant step. Our aim is to make that process clearer and more reassuring, giving patients the time and space to discuss their experiences and understand the options available to them.
Our approach is centred around the individual. Rather than looking only at symptoms, we consider how difficulties may be affecting everyday life, relationships, education, employment, family life and wellbeing.
From your first contact with our team through to assessment, diagnosis and any ongoing treatment, we aim to provide professional, respectful and supportive care at every stage.

Care Built Around the Individual

There is no single experience of ADHD, autism or mental health difficulty.
Two people with the same diagnosis may experience very different challenges, which is why we believe good psychiatric care starts with listening to the individual.
Our clinicians take time to understand your experiences, history, concerns and the impact they may be having on everyday life. Assessments are designed to build a comprehensive clinical picture rather than focusing on a single questionnaire or symptom.
Where a diagnosis is made, we explain the findings clearly and discuss appropriate recommendations and next steps.
Our aim is to help patients leave the assessment process with greater understanding, clarity and confidence about what comes next.

Meet Our Team
Behind every assessment is a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and support staff working together to provide high-quality care.
The Dr J & Colleagues team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, ADHD practitioners, autism practitioners, speech and language therapists, specialist assessors, nurses, therapists and administrative professionals.
By bringing together professionals with different areas of expertise, we can provide a collaborative approach to assessment, treatment and ongoing care.
Most importantly, we want every patient to feel that they are being treated as an individual rather than simply as a diagnosis.

Our Approach to Care
Patient First
The needs, wellbeing, safety and dignity of our patients are central to the decisions we make and the services we provide.
Compassion
Seeking mental health support can be difficult. We aim to provide a welcoming environment where patients feel listened to, respected and understood.
Clinical Excellence
We are committed to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and continually reviewing and improving the care we provide.
Collaboration
Good mental health care often involves working together. We collaborate with patients, families, healthcare professionals and NHS partners where appropriate.
Accessibility
By offering remote consultations alongside face-to-face care, we aim to make specialist psychiatric support accessible to more people.
Continuous Improvement
We use clinical experience, patient feedback, technology and service data to continue developing and improving how our services are delivered.

Online and Face-to-Face Appointments
Supporting You Beyond Diagnosis
Specialist psychiatric care should fit around the needs and circumstances of the person receiving it.

We provide secure online video consultations, making it possible for patients to access specialist care from their own home. Face-to-face appointments are also available where appropriate.

This flexible approach allows us to support patients across a wide geographical area while maintaining the same focus on thorough assessment, professional clinical care and individual support.
Receiving a diagnosis can answer important questions, but it can also be the beginning of a new stage in understanding your needs.
Where appropriate, Dr J & Colleagues can provide guidance following assessment, discuss treatment options, support medication management and help patients understand their next steps.
For families, we aim to provide clear recommendations that can help them better understand and support their child.
For adults, a diagnosis can provide greater insight into challenges experienced in areas such as employment, education, relationships and everyday life.
Our aim is not simply to provide a diagnostic outcome, but to help patients understand what that outcome means for them.
